He lists the Drifters, Spade Cooley, Lawrence Welk and Bobby Vinton among the artists he has worked with, along with stints as a bandleader for Bobby Rydell and Brenda Lee. He also claims to have taught Jimi Hendrix to play guitar behind his head!
Whatever the details of his career may be, this guy sure can play -- in just about any style you can think of. Surf music, latin jazz and western swing are among the genres mastered by Luttrell.
